Nokia�s next Symbian baby is slated to release in January Last week. But, some sources close to iGyaan tell us that the device will come as early as January 2nd week and at a relatively low price of 21,000 INR.
Nokia Smartphones are facing teething competition since the arrival of Android OS. The relative market share of Nokia has gone down by 36%. Low range phone segments have been taken over by Indian Manufacturers, While iOS and Android dominate the High-End Smartphone market. The E7 looks like a promising device for Nokia, But, Till the reinvent of the Symbian OS later next year the device may still see a slow response from the Indian market.
The Nokia E7 has a 4-inch capacitive AMOLED touchscreen that displays a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels. The phone has a full QWERTY keyboard, an alphanumeric keypad on the screen and an angled slider for inputs. The E7�s body is made of anodized aluminum. It has an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash that is capable of recording 1080p high definition video. It also has a VGA camera in the front for video calling.
There are also social networking apps on the Nokia E7, and emails get updated in real time. The phone has built in apps for Windows Messenger, Ovi Chat and shows SMS chats in threads.
It has an HDMI out port using which it can be connected to a high definition display. This is useful if you want to watch movies stored on your phone on a large HD television screen. The Nokia E7 has 16 GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32 GB via a microSD card slot.
The E7 runs on the Symbian^3 operating system. Symbian^3 has around 250 new features over the earlier version. The OS promises the ability to multi task without running the phone�s battery out. The phone uses a 1200 mAh battery that supports up to 9 hours of GSM talk time.
