(CBS/Whatâs Trending) â" No the moon isnât turning red with rage: Itâs just a total lunar eclipse.
YouTube is live streaming the event for your viewing pleasure. It doesnât change that quickly, but you can check in every few minutes to see the current dark side of the moon.
Thereâs also an Android app for people on the go, but it begs the question: If youâre outside and on your phone, why donât you just look up at the sky? While youâre outdoors, snap a picture and send it to Wired. Theyâre compiling a collection of user submitted photos from todayâs eclipse.
Or, if youâd prefer a more artistic rendition, Google Doodle is featuring a special animation on the Google homepage.
Youâve still got time to run out and witness the event for yourself, so take your lunch break now. Todayâs lunar eclipse is set to be the longest in ten years. And, if you miss this one, thereâs going to be another on on December 10, 2011.
The Whatâs Trending show is produced by Shira Lazar Productions and the Disrupt Group, who are solely responsible for the content, opinions and viewpoints.
