America's Middle Class Has Become Globalization's Loser

A superpower declining

By Gabor Steingart

At the beginning of the 21st century, the United States is still a superpower. But it's a superpower facing competition from beyond its borders as well as internal difficulties. Its lower and middle classes are turning out to be the losers of globalization.

There are essentially three exclusive characteristics whose simultaneous development have served as the foundations of the United States's success up until now -- and they only appear in this particular combination in America. They are not only the country's biggest strengths, but also its greatest weaknesses. It's worth scrutinizing them more closely.

First, nowhere in the world can you find such a high concentration of optimism and daring. America is the country that strives hardest for what is new -- not just since yesterday (like Eastern Europeans) and not just for the last three decades (like the Chinese); rather from the very instant settlers began arriving. Unabashed curiosity seems to be hardwired into the nation's genetic code.

The steady influx of the adventurous and hard-working -- which helped increase the country's labor force by about 44 million people since 1980 alone and continues today -- ensures a constant replenishment of daring. After all, it's not just the additional people that make the difference. The mere addition of 17 million people into Germany following reunification in 1990 - newcomers more concerned with preserving their guaranteed rights than with making the extraordinary effort necessary for success - did nothing to foster the kind of daring you see in the United States. Indeed, the result was exactly the opposite, and it has been a painful lesson for Germany.

US Christians Watch as Arab Christians Suffer

Why doesn't anyone face the truth?

by Harmony Grant

Representing the estimated one-third of American voters who support Christian Zionism, Hal Lindsey blames the Palestinians for their own suffering.

Why doesn't anyone face the truth? he asks, The main obstacle to improving conditions for the Palestinian people is the Palestinian people. Specifically, their overwhelming decision to elect Hamas to represent them as their government. ("The Czechoslovakia Solution," Oct. 25, worldnetdaily)

When Condoleezza Rice refers to Palestinians daily humiliations under Israeli occupation, Lindsey sputters, What occupation? The only territory under Israeli 'occupation' is Israel.

Apparently Lindsey doesnt read any of the hundreds of testimonies of Palestinian suffering. One is available, for instance, in the BBCs recent story about the struggle Palestinian farmers face merely to harvest their olives.

For years settlers have been attacking Palestinian farmers and chopping down their trees, the BBC reports. Palestinian farmers often require a permit from the army to visit their lands which lie close to Jewish settlements.

The Israeli army is supposed to protect the farmers from the Jewish settlers who routinely attack and harass them. A farmer named Jamal says Israeli soldiers are just part of the gang of thugs. Israeli soldiers riding in military jeeps often appear in the town's groves. The soldiers fire tear gas and live bullets and bark at the villagers through loudspeakers to leave the area, he says. (BBC, Olive Harvest Sparks Tensions, Oct. 24)

Harassment of farmers is just one lash in the whip of Israeli oppression.

The 1.4 million Palestinians currently living in the Gaza Strip continue to suffer without electricity after Israel bombed their power plant three months ago. They are still forced to live without electricity for long parts of the day and night (Btselem Sept. 06 Status Report).

The bombing that westerners have already forgotten as one blip in the ongoing tension is a source of daily hardship for Palestinian men, women, and children. The Gazan urban population gets water only 2-3 hours per day, according to Btselem. The lack of electricity has affected business and caused medical care to decline.

The bombing of the power plant was a collective punishment for the kidnapping of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit. Apparently Gazans werent suffering enough under their already crushing load of economic isolation, military checkpoints, systematic abuses, and intentionally disruptive road construction. Apparently it also wasnt enough that virtually every family in the Occupied Territories has been broken by Israels refusal to process any of the 120,000 requests for family unification filed in the last 6 years (Btselem, Aug. 15, 2006, Israel's freeze policy on family unification in the Occupied Territories splits tens of thousands of Palestinian families). Israel prevents Palestinians from living with spouses who are foreign residents and forbids family members who are foreign residents from visiting their loved ones in the Occupied Territories.

Imagine being separated from your spouse, denied almost all freedom of movement and much of your access to medical care as well as your access to basic electricity and water except for a few hours a day, and facing daily harassment from the civilian army that stole your ancestral land. Then imagine being told your failure to participate in the political process correctly makes your suffering your own fault!

Evangelicals think they are doing God a favor by supporting Israel, but many of the suffering Arabs and Palestinians pray tearfully to the very same Jesus. Persecution suffered by Arab Christians increases with every passing week that the US foreign policy privileges Israel and turns a blind eye to her cruel aggressions.

When we invaded Iraq for Israels sake, Arab Christians (along with all the dead American boys) paid a huge price. American Conservative reports: The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees figured that roughly 36 percent of the 700,000 Iraqis who had fled to Syria as of March 2005 were Christians. (The American Conservative, Oct. 23, Christians in the Crossfire, Doug Bandow)

Iraqi Christians feel like human targets; their lives have worsened since Saddams overthrow, and their religious freedoms have been lessened or taken away. Arab Christians are associated with the infidel West, says American Conservative, and suffer as surrogate targets for an American enemy who cant be reached. For evidence, just check out the "Christians of Iraq" website and its long list of atrocities suffered by Christian Iraqis since spring 2003 (christiansofiraq.com).

Christians also made up almost 41 percent of the Lebanese population that suffered Israels harsh military action a few months ago (International Religious Freedom Report 2005, US State Department).

American evangelicals may someday say in horror to Christ, Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or ill or in prison, and not minister to your needs? (Matt. 25:44). But with every passing day, Christians refuse to minister to suffering Arab Christians.

Pedophilia: The Talmud's Dirty Secret

Pedophilia: The Talmud's Dirty Secret

By Rev. Ted Pike

For nearly a century, the Jewish-dominated Hollywood film industry and big media have conspicuously influenced Christian America away from Biblical morals and values. (See, "Jews Confirm Big Media Is Jewish")

Yet, with the hippie rebellion of the early sixties, the Jewish media found exponential opportunities to hasten Americas moral decline. Encouraging drugs and pornography it persuaded America that "free love" and living together outside of marriage were socially acceptable. With astonishing rapidity the movie, TV, and print media helped produce a generation of sexual libertines. By the end of the sixties, it hastened the sexual revolution to its next stage, homosexuality.

Now, more than 40 years later, even homosexuality has lost its attraction to many children and grandchildren of the hippie generation. Pedophilia (sex with little boys and girls along with child pornography) is the latest underground obsession sweeping America and the world.

Last fall, I alerted the nation to the power of the pedophile lobby in Congress; Sen. Edward Kennedy, long backed by homosexuals in support of the federal anti-hate bill, betrayed them to favor the evidently more powerful and rewarding pedophiles. (See "How Kennedy and His Pedophiles Weakened the Child Safety Bill")

Rotten Roots

What kind of moral foundations do Jews of the media rest upon, that they could consciously ignite and fan the flames of a sexual inferno that continues to ravage our once Christian society?

Virtually all the media moguls who founded Hollywood and the big three TV networks were immigrants, or their children, from predominantly orthodox Jewish communities in Eastern Europe.

In the late 19th century, most European Jews were a people of the book. But their book wasnt the Bible. It was the Babylonian Talmud. To this day, the Talmud remains Judaisms highest moral, ethical and legal authority.

Does the Talmud share Christianity's foundation of wholesome moral values? Hardly. Instead, the Talmud is the sleazy substrata of a religious system gone terribly astray; it is that code of Pharisaic unbelief Christ described as "full of all uncleanness" (Matt. 23:27). Shockingly, Judaisms most revered authority actually endorses such sins as lying, oath-breaking, and indirect murder. And it even sanctions one of the greatest sins of all: child molestation.

Three Year Old Brides

When Christ accused the Pharisees of His day of being Satans spiritual children, He fully realized what they were capable of. Second century Rabbi Simeon ben Yohai, one of Judaisms very greatest rabbis and a creator of Kabbalah, sanctioned pedophiliapermitting molestation of baby girls even younger than three! He proclaimed, A proselyte who is under the age of three years and a day is permitted to marry a priest. 1 Subsequent rabbis refer to ben Yohais endorsement of pedophilia as "halakah," or binding Jewish law. 2 Has ben Yohai, child rape advocate, been disowned by modern Jews? Hardly. Today, in ben Yohais hometown of Meron, Israel, tens of thousands of orthodox and ultra-orthodox Jews gather annually for days and nights of singing and dancing in his memory.

References to pedophilia abound in the Talmud. They occupy considerable sections of Treatises Kethuboth and Yebamoth and are enthusiastically endorsed by the Talmuds definitive legal work, Treatise Sanhedrin.

The Pharisees Endorsed Child Sex

The rabbis of the Talmud are notorious for their legal hairsplitting, and quibbling debates. But they share rare agreement about their right to molest three year old girls. In contrast to many hotly debated issues, hardly a hint of dissent rises against the prevailing opinion (expressed in many clear passages) that pedophilia is not only normal but scriptural as well! Its as if the rabbis have found an exalted truth whose majesty silences debate.

Because the Talmudic authorities who sanction pedophilia are so renowned, and because pedophilia as halakah is so explicitly emphasized, not even the translators of the Soncino edition of the Talmud (1936) dared insert a footnote suggesting the slightest criticism. They only comment: Marriage, of course, was then at a far earlier age than now. 3

In fact, footnote 5 to Sanhedrin 60b rejects the right of a Talmudic rabbi to disagree with ben Yohai's endorsement of pedophilia: "How could they [the rabbis], contrary to the opinion of R. Simeon ben Yohai, which has scriptural support, forbid the marriage of the young proselyte?" 4

Out of Babylon

It was in Babylon after the exile under Nebuchadnezzar in 597 BC that Judaism's leading sages probably began to indulge in pedophilia. Babylon was the staggeringly immoral capitol of the ancient world. For 1600 years, the worlds largest population of Jews flourished within it.

As an example of their evil, Babylonian priests said a man's religious duty included regular sex with temple prostitutes. Bestiality was widely tolerated. So Babylonians hardly cared whether a rabbi married a three year old girl.

But with expulsion of the Jews in the 11th century AD, mostly to western Christian lands, Gentile tolerance of Jewish pedophilia abruptly ended.

Still, a shocking contradiction lingers: If Jews want to revere the transcendent wisdom and moral guidance of the Pharisees and their Talmud, they must accept the right of their greatest ancient sages to violate children. To this hour, no synod of Judaism has repudiated their vile practice.

Sex with a Minor Permitted

What exactly did these sages say?

The Pharisees justified child rape by explaining that a boy of nine years was not a man (See, "Judaism and Homosexuality: A Marriage Made in Hell") Thus they exempted him from Gods Mosaic Law: You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination (Lev. 18:22) One passage in the Talmud gives permission for a woman who molested her young son to marry a high priest. It concludes, All agree that the connection of a boy aged nine years and a day is a real connection; whilst that of one less than eight years is not." 5 Because a boy under 9 is sexually immature, he can't "throw guilt" on the active offender, morally or legally. 6

A woman could molest a young boy without questions of morality even being raised: "the intercourse of a small boy is not regarded as a sexual act." 7 The Talmud also says, "A male aged nine years and a day who cohabits with his deceased brother's wife acquires her (as wife)." 8 Clearly, the Talmud teaches that a woman is permitted to marry and have sex with a nine year old boy.

Sex at Three Years and One Day

In contrast to Simeon ben Yohai's dictum that sex with a little girl is permitted under the age of three years, the general teaching of the Talmud is that the rabbi must wait until a day after her third birthday. She could be taken in marriage simply by the act of rape.

R. Joseph said: Come and hear! A maiden aged three years and a day may be acquired in marriage by coition and if her deceased husbands brother cohabits with her, she becomes his. (Sanh. 55b)

A girl who is three years of age and one day may be betrothed by cohabitation. . . .(Yeb. 57b)

A maiden aged three years and a day may be acquired in marriage by coition, and if her deceased husbands brother cohabited with her she becomes his. (Sanh. 69a, 69b, also discussed in Yeb. 60b)

It was taught: R. Simeon b. Yohai stated: A proselyte who is under the age of three years and one day is permitted to marry a priest, for it is said, But all the women children that have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves, and Phineas (who was priest, the footnote says) surely was with them. (Yeb. 60b)

[The Talmud says such three year and a day old girls are] . . . fit for cohabitation. . . But all women children, that have not known man by lying with him, it must be concluded that Scripture speaks of one who is fit for cohabitation. (Footnote to Yeb. 60b)

The example of Phineas, a priest, himself marrying an underage virgin of three years is considered by the Talmud as proof that such infants are "fit for cohabitation."

The Talmud teaches that an adult womans molestation of a nine year old boy is "not a sexual act" and cannot "throw guilt" upon her because the little boy is not truly a "man. 9 But they use opposite logic to sanction rape of little girls aged three years and one day: Such infants they count as women," sexually mature and fully responsible to comply with the requirements of marriage.

The Talmud footnotes 3 and 4 to Sanhedrin 55a clearly tell us when the rabbis considered a boy and girl sexually mature and thus ready for marriage. "At nine years a male attains sexual matureness The sexual matureness of woman is reached at the age of three."

No Rights for Child Victims

The Pharisees were hardly ignorant of the trauma felt by molested children. To complicate redress, the Talmud says a rape victim must wait until she was of age before there would be any possibility of restitution. She must prove that she lived and would live as a devoted Jewess, and she must protest the loss of her virginity on the very hour she comes of age. As soon as she was of age one hour and did not protest she cannot protest any more. 10

The Talmud defends these strict measures as necessary to forestall the possibility of a Gentile child bride rebelling against Judaism and spending the damages awarded to her as a heathen - an unthinkable blasphemy! But the rights of the little girl were really of no great consequence, for, "When a grown-up man has intercourse with a little girl it is nothing, for when the girl is less than this (three years and a day) it is as if one put the finger into the eye." The footnote says that as tears come to the eye again and again, so does virginity come back to the little girl under three years. 11

In most cases, the Talmud affirms the innocence of male and female victims of pedophilia. Defenders of the Talmud claim this proves the Talmud's amazing moral advancement and benevolence toward children; they say it contrasts favorably with "primitive" societies where the child would have been stoned along with the adult perpetrator.

Actually, the rabbis, from self-protection, were intent on proving the innocence of both parties involved in pedophilia: the child, but more importantly, the pedophile. They stripped a little boy of his right to "throw guilt" on his assailant and demanded complicity in sex from a little girl. By thus providing no significant moral or legal recourse for the child, the Talmud clearly reveals whose side it is on: the raping rabbi.

Pedophilia Widespread

Child rape was practiced in the highest circles of Judaism. This is illustrated from Yeb. 60b:

There was a certain town in the land of Israel the legitimacy of whose inhabitants was disputed, and Rabbi sent R. Romanos who conducted an inquiry and found in it the daughter of a proselyte who was under the age of three years and one day, and Rabbi declared her eligible to live with a priest.

The footnote says that she was married to a priest and the rabbi simply permitted her to live with her husband, thus upholding halakah as well as the dictum of Simeon ben Yohai, A proselyte who is under the age of three years and one day is permitted to marry a priest. 12

These child brides were expected to submit willingly to sex. Yeb. 12b confirms that under eleven years and one day a little girl is not permitted to use a contraceptive but must carry on her marital intercourse in the usual manner.

In Sanhedrin 76b a blessing is given to the man who marries off his children before they reach the age of puberty, with a contrasting curse on anyone who waits longer. In fact, failure to have married off ones daughter by the time she is 12-1/2, the Talmud says, is as bad as one who returns a lost article to a Cuthean (Gentile) - a deed for which the Lord will not spare him. 13 This passage says: it is meritorious to marry off ones children whilst minors.

The mind reels at the damage to the untold numbers of girls who were sexually abused within Judaism during the heyday of pedophilia. Such child abuse, definitely practiced in the second century, continued, at least in Babylon, for another 900 years.

A Fascination with Sex

Perusing the Talmud, one is overwhelmed with the recurrent preoccupation with sex, especially by the most eminent rabbis. Dozens of illustrations could be presented to illustrate the delight of the Pharisees to discuss sex and quibble over its minutest details.

The rabbis endorsing child sex undoubtedly practiced what they preached. Yet to this hour, their words are revered. Simeon ben Yohai is honored by Orthodox Jews as one of the very greatest sages and spiritual lights the world has ever known. A member of the earliest "Tannaim," rabbis most influential in creating the Talmud, he carries more authority to observant Jews than Moses.

Today, the Talmuds outspoken pedophiles and child-rape advocates would doubtlessly spend hard time in prison for child molestation. Yet here is what the eminent Jewish scholar, Dagobert Runes (who is fully aware of all these passages), says about such dirty old men and their perverted teachings:

There is no truth whatever in Christian and other strictures against the Pharisees, who represented the finest traditions of their people and of human morals. 14

Arent Christs words more appropriate?

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead mens bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. (Matthew 23:27, 28.)

Ottawa rules out amnesty for 200,000 illegal workers

THE UNDERGROUND ECONOMY: Construction industry hit hard by decision

IMMIGRATION REPORTER

Ottawa has ruled out amnesty for the estimated 200,000 undocumented workers toiling in Canada's underground economy, saying it would not be fair to those who have applied legally and are waiting in line, according to a letter obtained by The Globe and Mail.

Allowing illegal workers to stay would likely "encourage more illegal immigration," noted Linda Arseneau of Citizenship and Immigration Canada's ministerial enquiries division in an Oct. 18 letter to the Universal Workers Union.

"Even a small increase in the number who decide to come here and stay here illegally based on the hope of regularization would simply recreate the very problem the proposal is supposed to fix," the letter says.

The decision is a bitter disappointment to Portuguese and Hispanic groups, home-builder associations and unions in Ontario that have lobbied CIC to allow undocumented workers in the construction industry to regularize their status.

The groups have met with five different immigration ministers in six years to press the issue. Former immigration minister Joe Volpe signed a memo of understanding with the Coalition for Undocumented Workers last year for a regularization program that would allow undocumented workers already in the Greater Toronto Area to apply to stay.

The initiative was never passed because of opposition from within the Liberal caucus.

Andy Manahan, of Universal Workers Union Local 183, said he hopes Ottawa will not move to deport about 20,000 undocumented workers in Toronto, many of whom are keeping the construction sector afloat. Another 20,000 work as house cleaners and cooks in the GTA, while a recent report estimated the total of illegal workers in Canada at 200,000 to 500,000.

"We need these people and they cannot qualify under the current immigration system, which favours white-collar workers," Mr. Manahan said. "The best solution would be if the government reformed the points system to encourage skilled tradespeople to apply."

Daniel, 47, his wife and two grown sons arrived in Toronto from Mendoza, Argentina, seven years ago and have been working as house framers ever since, hoping Ottawa would introduce a temporary amnesty.

"There is a demand for our labour. Most Canadians don't want to do this work," Daniel said. "We are paying taxes and spending money. An amnesty isn't a solution, but the government could create a temporary program to help us get status."

He and his family must decide what to do next, and they live in fear of being discovered by immigration officials and ordered to leave.

"This is not a good way to live," he said.

Immigration Minister Monte Solberg understands the difficulty and vulnerability of those working illegally in Canada, according to the letter, which says he is committed to "ensuring that Canada's immigration policy is reoriented to meet the demands of our labour market."

But CIC also wants to maintain the integrity of the immigration program and "drive foreign workers to legal channels."

Ontario is planning to introduce a provincial nominee program, which would allow the province to bring in workers with specific skills and give applicants priority processing by CIC.

Last year more than 80,000 temporary foreign workers arrived in Canada.

A recent report commissioned by the Laborers' International Union of North America found that undocumented workers in the GTA "pay taxes, create jobs and wealth," but are often forced to work for less than the minimum wage and "live in fear of being deported."

Many of the workers are from Portugal and Latin American countries such as Argentina and El Salvador.

In March, the deportation of about two dozen Portuguese nationals caused an uproar as the Portuguese community struggled to understand why gainfully employed stonemasons and carpenters could not stay.

In June, the House of Commons committee on citizenship and immigration called on the government to halt deportations of all undocumented workers until a new immigration policy could be introduced.

Helen Keller, No Hero!

Few Christians realize just how wicked some of the most revered people in history were. Helen Keller (1880 to 1968) was a wolf in Sheep's clothing, NO hero. Just as Martin Luther King Jr., Einstein, and so many others...Keller was a Communist! She was also involved with the occult. Tragically, I see Christian websites praising this godless woman. Wake up oh Christian, wake up! We must reprove the works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11).

I Love You... Devil????

The "El Diablo" hand sign often is con-fused with the deaf hand signal of the phrase, "I love you." While at first this appears an odd resemblance, we register an "ahh, I get it!" emotion when we discover that the person who invented, or created, the hand sign system for the deaf, Helen Keller, was herself an occultist and Theosophist. Did Keller purposely design the deaf's "I love you" sign to be such a remarkable imitation of the classic sign of Satan? Was Keller saying, basically, "I love you, Devil?" -Texe Marrs (See CODEX MAGICA).

"She invented over 60 different signs by which she could talk to her family before the age of seven. For example, if she wanted ice cream she would wrap her arms around herself and pretend to shiver." -SOURCE

Helen Keller was a Communist

"Helen Keller wrote glowingly of the emergence of communism during the Russian Revolution of 1917 (See ISBN 0684818868). Her contacts with suspected communists were frequently investigated by the FBI. In 1920 she was one of the founders of the American Civil Liberties Union. In the 1920s, she sent a hundred dollars to the NAACP with a letter of support that appeared in its magazine The Crisis. In 1925 she addressed a convention of Lions Clubs International giving that organization a major focus for its service work which still continues today." -WIKIPEDIA

From its very inception in January 1920 the ACLU was created and controlled by a steering committee of ardent Communists, including Helen Keller, who wrote flattering diatribes about the national socialist policies of Adolf Hitler and also the worldwide communist movement.

School safety drill upsets some parents

Sat Oct 28, 3:20 PM ET

WYOMING, Mich. -
A school safety drill that included police officers in riot gear with weapons has caused concern among some parents who say it was too realistic and frightened some students.

Police in the western Michigan community of Wyoming entered two classrooms at Lee Middle and High School on Thursday and announced there was a threat to the school, The Grand Rapids Press reported.

Students, who were unaware police were conducting a drill, were taken from the classroom into the halls, patted down by officers and asked what they had in their pockets, the newspaper said.

"Some of these kids were so scared, they just about wet their pants," said Marge Bradshaw, a parent with four children in Godfrey-Lee Schools. "I think it's pure wrong that the students and parents were not informed of this."

Officers wore protective gear, including vests and helmets, and carried rifles that were unloaded and marked with colored tape to indicate they were not live weapons, the newspaper said.

Diana Silva, a parent of an eighth-grade student, said the drill went too far.

"My child was with his face to the wall in the hallway of the high school," Silva said. "I certainly don't want anything like this happening to my child."

Principal David Britten said students weren't told ahead of time to make the drill as realistic as possible. Teachers were informed moments before it took place, he said.

"I think this is the best way to do it," Britten said. "We're not looking to scare anyone, but we want a sense of urgency."

But Wyoming Police Chief James Carmody said his officers were not aware students and parents were not told. He said his department will mandate that parents be notified ahead of time in the future.

"The purpose was to show how we will evacuate the classroom, not to assault the classroom," Carmody said.

one for his or her non-gender specific partner,
(not that there's anything wrong with that),
And one for the youthful non-gender specific, vertically challenged individual
who lives down the lane.

Georgie-Porgie, pudding 'n' pie,
kiss the girls and made them cry
When the boys came out to play,
Georgie-Porgie was slammed with a sexual harassment suit.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vertically challenged Jack Horner
sat in the socially accepted timeout space
eating his highly nutritious, low fat, gluten free snack.
He stuck in his diametrically opposed digit
and pulled out a fruit of the P. domestica species
and said "What a good non female person of younger age, am I?"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mary had a dimensionally-challenged-but-no-less-useful-to-society lamb,
Its fleece was as rainbow as snow,
And everywhere that Mary went,
The lamb chose to follow, out of its own free will
not because it felt compelled to by the mores of a patriarchal phallus-centred
society that seeks dominance over non-human life forms.
