Is it time to dress like Indians again?

TAXES

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries, then
Tax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ass

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers,
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid.

Put these words
upon his tomb,
"Taxes drove me
to my doom..."

When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

Arming Iraq: A Chronology of U.S. Involvement

Arming Iraq: A Chronology of U.S. Involvement

By: John King, March 2003

What follows is an accurate chronology of United States involvement in the arming of Iraq during the Iraq-Iran war 1980-88. It is a powerful indictment of the president Bush administration attempt to sell war as a component of his war on terrorism. It reveals US ambitions in Iraq to be just another chapter in the attempt to regain a foothold in the Mideast following the fall of the Shah of Iran.

Arming Iraq and the Path to War
A crisis always has a history, and the current crisis with Iraq is no exception. Below are some relevant dates.

September, 1980. Iraq invades Iran. The beginning of the Iraq-Iran war. [8]

February, 1982. Despite objections from congress, President Reagan removes Iraq from its list of known terrorist countries. [1]

December, 1982. Hughes Aircraft ships 60 Defender helicopters to Iraq. [9]

1982-1988. Defense Intelligence Agency provides detailed information for Iraq on Iranian deployments, tactical planning for battles, plans for air strikes and bomb damage assessments. [4]

November, 1983. A National Security Directive states that the U.S would do "whatever was necessary and legal" to prevent Iraq from losing its war with Iran. [1] & [15]

November, 1983. Banca Nazionale del Lavoro of Italy and its Branch in Atlanta begin to funnel $5 billion in unreported loans to Iraq. Iraq, with the blessing and official approval of the US government, purchased computer controlled machine tools, computers, scientific instruments, special alloy steel and aluminum, chemicals, and other industrial goods for Iraq's missile, chemical, biological and nuclear weapons programs. [14]

October, 1983. The Reagan Administration begins secretly allowing Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Egypt to transfer United States weapons, including Howitzers, Huey helicopters, and bombs to Iraq. These shipments violated the Arms Export Control Act. [16]

November 1983. George Schultz, the Secretary of State, is given intelligence reports showing that Iraqi troops are daily using chemical weapons against the Iranians. [1]

Donald Rumsfeld -Reagan's Envoy- provided Iraq with
chemical & biological weapons

December 20, 1983. Donald Rumsfeld , then a civilian and now Defense Secretary, meets with Saddam Hussein to assure him of US friendship and materials support. [1] & [15]

July, 1984. CIA begins giving Iraq intelligence necessary to calibrate its mustard gas attacks on Iranian troops. [19]

January 14, 1984. State Department memo acknowledges United States shipment of "dual-use" export hardware and technology. Dual use items are civilian items such as heavy trucks, armored ambulances and communications gear as well as industrial technology that can have a military application. [2]

March, 1986. The United States with Great Britain block all Security Council resolutions condemning Iraq's use of chemical weapons, and on March 21 the US becomes the only country refusing to sign a Security Council statement condemning Iraq's use of these weapons. [10]

May, 1986. The US Department of Commerce licenses 70 biological exports to Iraq between May of 1985 and 1989, including at least 21 batches of lethal strains of anthrax. [3]

May, 1986. US Department of Commerce approves shipment of weapons grade botulin poison to Iraq. [7]

March, 1987. President Reagan bows to the findings of the Tower Commission admitting the sale of arms to Iran in exchange for hostages. Oliver North uses the profits from the sale to fund an illegal war in Nicaragua. [17]

Late 1987. The Iraqi Air Force begins using chemical agents against Kurdish resistance forces in northern Iraq. [1]

February, 1988. Saddam Hussein begins the "Anfal" campaign against the Kurds of northern Iraq. The Iraq regime used chemical weapons against the Kurds killing over 100,000 civilians and destroying over 1,200 Kurdish villages. [8]

April, 1988. US Department of Commerce approves shipment of chemicals used in manufacture of mustard gas. [7]

August, 1988. Four major battles were fought from April to August 1988, in which the Iraqis massively and effectively used chemical weapons to defeat the Iranians. Nerve gas and blister agents such as mustard gas are used. By this time the US Defense Intelligence Agency is heavily involved with Saddam Hussein in battle plan assistance, intelligence gathering and post battle debriefing. In the last major battle with of the war, 65,000 Iranians are killed, many with poison gas. Use of chemical weapons in war is in violation of the Geneva accords of 1925. [6] & [13]

August, 1988. Iraq and Iran declare a cease fire. [8]

August, 1988. Five days after the cease fire Saddam Hussein sends his planes and helicopters to northern Iraq to begin massive chemical attacks against the Kurds. [8]

September, 1988. US Department of Commerce approves shipment of weapons grade anthrax and botulinum to Iraq. [7]

September, 1988. Richard Murphy, Assistant Secretary of State: "The US-Iraqi relationship is... important to our long-term political and economic objectives." [15]

December, 1988. Dow chemical sells $1.5 million in pesticides to Iraq despite knowledge that these would be used in chemical weapons. [1]

July 25, 1990. US Ambassador to Baghdad meets with Hussein to assure him that President Bush "wanted better and deeper relations". Many believe this visit was a trap set for Hussein. A month later Hussein invaded Kuwait thinking the US would not respond. [12]

August, 1990 Iraq invades Kuwait. The precursor to the Gulf War. [8]

July, 1991 The Financial Times of London reveals that a Florida chemical company had produced and shipped cyanide to Iraq during the 80's using a special CIA courier. Cyanide was used extensively against the Iranians. [11]

August, 1991. Christopher Droguol of Atlanta's branch of Banca Nazionale del Lavoro is arrested for his role in supplying loans to Iraq for the purchase of military supplies. He is charged with 347 counts of felony. Droguol is found guilty, but US officials plead innocent of any knowledge of his crime. [14]

June, 1992. Ted Kopple of ABC Nightline reports: "It is becoming increasingly clear that George Bush Sr., operating largely behind the scenes throughout the 1980's, initiated and supported much of the financing, intelligence, and military help that built Saddam's Iraq into [an aggressive power]." [5]

July, 1992. "The Bush administration deliberately, not inadvertently, helped to arm Iraq by allowing U.S. technology to be shipped to Iraqi military and to Iraqi defense factories... Throughout the course of the Bush administration, U.S. and foreign firms were granted export licenses to ship U.S. technology directly to Iraqi weapons facilities despite ample evidence showing that these factories were producing weapons." Representative Henry Gonzalez, Texas, testimony before the House. [18]

February, 1994. Senator Riegle from Michigan, chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, testifies before the senate revealing large US shipments of dual-use biological and chemical agents to Iraq that may have been used against US troops in the Gulf War and probably was the cause of the illness known as Gulf War Syndrome. [7]

August, 2002. "The use of gas [during the Iran-Iraq war] on the battle field by the Iraqis was not a matter of deep strategic concern... We were desperate to make sure that Iraq did not lose". Colonel Walter Lang, former senior US Defense Intelligence officer tells the New York Times. [4]

This chronology of the United States' sordid involvement in the arming of Iraq can be summarized in this way: The United States used methods both legal and illegal to help build Saddam's army into the most powerful army in the Mideast outside of Israel. The US supplied chemical and biological agents and technology to Iraq when it knew Iraq was using chemical weapons against the Iranians. The US supplied the materials and technology for these weapons of mass destruction to Iraq at a time when it was know that Saddam was using this technology to kill his Kurdish citizens. The United States supplied intelligence and battle planning information to Iraq when those battle plans included the use of cyanide, mustard gas and nerve agents. The United States blocked UN censure of Iraq's use of chemical weapons. The United States did not act alone in this effort. The Soviet Union was the largest weapons supplier, but England, France and Germany were also involved in the shipment of arms and technology.

CHILD SEX IN THE HOLY CITY

By Harmony Grant
12 Dec 06

You may have been shocked by Ted Pikes recent expose of permission-for-pedophilia in the Babylonian Talmud. He quotes passages directly from the Talmud that sanction sex with boys under the age of 9 or girls under the age of 3-1/2 (See, Pedophilia: The Talmud's Dirty Secret). Apparently, rabbis liked to molest small children a few thousand years ago.

Worse, they still like and excuse it today.

The leftist Jewish blogosphere buzzed recently with an eyewitness account from Rabbi Nuchem Rosenberg of child molestation in gay bathhouses in Jerusalem. This report has been circulated on popular Jewish blogs, including jewschool (Mishegaas, Nov. 12) and failedmessiah (For Marvin Schick: Mikva Man-on-Boy Abuse, Nov. 10).

Jewish blog Chaptzem was first to post scans of Rosenbergs eyewitness reports (in Yiddish and Hebrew). He tells of seeing 7- and 8-year-old boys sexually abused in the sauna of a mikvah, a bathhouse where Orthodox Jews undergo ritual purification (http://chaptzem.blogspot.com/2005/08/mikvah-expert-nuchem-rosenberg-blasts.html).

Rabbi Rosenberg, who is a world-traveling mikvah expert, expressed horror and grief at the sight. He said when he went to the religious authorities in Jerusalem they refused to act, saying the bathhouse pedophiles give them money to subsidize mikvahs.

If this place would be in America, wrote Rosenberg, all the participants would be in jail, and even according to the laws of the Zionist government, such a place would be closed down. But here, in the holy city of Yerushalayim (Jerusalem), in beis zupnik, the mikvah remains open and everything is permissible.

Most Jewish readers who commented on the failedmessiah post accept the authority of Rosenbergs account. One wrote, While what he writes seems extreme, it matches what many abuse victims claim.

While dredging the web to research this topic, I stumbled on dozens of comments and even entire blogs written by Orthodox Jews about childhood sexual abuse.

In the eighties, Orthodox Rabbi Ephraim Byrks was accused of sexually molesting women, boys, and girls in Canada. He was sheltered and defended by his Orthodox community in Winnipeg, and in 1990 he accepted a position as principal of a Jewish day school in Montreal and from there went to New York and started another Torah school.

In 1993, one of Byrks victims, 17-year-old Daniel Levin, killed himself. After a documentary (Unorthodox Conduct, 2004, Canadian Broadcasting Corp.) was produced about the suicide, the child-molesting rabbi was forced out of work in the education field.

But within two years, Byrks was back as principal of a Russian elementary boys yeshiva in Brooklyn, and later started another Talmud boys school in Queens. In 2001, the New York Post published an article by Douglas Montero exposing Byrks as a child molester (Queens Yeshiva Boss is a Molester: Boys Mom, March 31, 2001). Yet Once again, says the Jewish Coalition Against Sexual Abuse/Assault (JCASA), there wasnt a tremendous reaction within the Rabbinical or Jewish community.

Today, Byrks lives as a private citizen and the cases against him remain open, according to JCASA. For a quarter of a century, he was involved in the Rabbinical Council of America (RCA) and he currently serves on the Vaad Harabonim of Queens, a committee responsible for important decisions for the Jewish community.

Is it possible that Orthodox rabbis like Byrks excuse their abuse of children with verses from the Talmud? Its more than possible; its almost a certainty.

One Jewish blogger (http://dovbear.blogspot.com/2006/11/mail-about-mikvaos.html) posted an email that attests, I personally know of many many boys who were molested in mikva'os.

I am in close contact with an ex-chassidishe young adult who, over time, was raped by at least 10 men; among them, rebbeim, often in mikvaos.

JCASA also reports on another rabbi, Moshe Eiseman, who was first credibly accused of child molestation 15 years ago yet remains an authority in the Orthodox community in Philadelphia (Call to Action, Sept. 3, 2006).

The allegations have been confirmed with numerous victims, reports the Awareness Center. Yet Eiseman remains employed by Ner Israel (a prominent Talmud school in Baltimore) and lives on their campus with access to children.

None of the Jewish bloggers express approval or acceptance for rabbis who rape kids. Most express horror and call for these men to be reported to the authorities. These writers represent the larger Jewish community which is led like sheep by evil leaders. Most Jews dont even know that their own sacred Talmud sanctions child abuse.

But it does. Rabbinic Judaism is an evil vine dripping with poisonous fruit, full of all uncleanness, as Jesus said. And todayin the forms of Zionism, leftist Jewish activism, and Talmudic Judaismit entangles the lives of 14 million Jews, 1.3 billion Muslims and 2 billion Christians.

Today, evangelical Christians donate millions per year to the state of Israelmost of which is entrusted to the care of rabbinic authorities. Would Christians give so generously if they knew how untrustworthy are the recipients of their gifts? Of course not.

But their ignorance is not easily excused. Both evangelicals and Jews are notorious for closing their minds to the slightest criticism of Jewish leadershipa willful blindness that has enabled Jewish leaders to attain tremendous power. For such partiality, the church will be held accountable, both here and in the hereafter. We will have to answer to God if we subsidize Jerusalem mikvahs where small boys are raped, instead of preaching the sin-reproving gospel that could save Jewish souls.

Surviving the New World Order

Surviving the New World Order (Encore)

December 22, 2006

[Memo to Myself]

This isn't about storing silver coins or canned food or getting an AK-47.

It's about saving your soul not your skin. It's about the tendency to obsess on the New World Order, get depressed and become unbearable.

The situation is depressing. A satanic cult controls the credit of the world and rules through myriad proxies. It is determined to destroy civilization and institute an Orwellian police state.

You spend hours every day addictively watching for new developments. Your face is pressed up against the store window of the world.

You are "externalized." You can't go into the kitchen without switching on the radio.

You try to squeeze your sustenance from the world. But much of what you imbibe is poisonous: depravity, corruption, duplicity and tragedy. (Is that the point of the mass media? To demoralize and brutalize?)

Mankind is in the grip of a diabolical force that constantly strives to legitimize itself through deception. You can't overcome this demon. But you still control your personal life. Ultimately, the battle is for the soul of humanity. Why not begin by defending your soul?

This means erecting a wall between the soul, and the world, and establishing a balance between the sacred and the profane. You need to shut out the world (the profane) for set periods of time and focus on what inspires you. That means turning off the TV, Internet and media in general.

Just as you nourish your body with food, you feed your soul with wholesome thoughts, sights and sounds. Your soul reaches out for beauty, grace, harmony, truth and righteousness. You become what you think about.

What lifts your spirit? It might be a long walk, nature, music, book, hobby, sport, or music. It might be time with your family or friends. It might be the Bible, religious writing or meditation.

"Do what you love," Henry David Thoreau said. "Know your own bone; gnaw at it, bury it, unearth it, and gnaw at it still."

You agree with the mystics who say happiness is within. It involves the possession of your self ( i.e. your soul,) and not wanting anything else. By looking outside your self, you displace your soul and become the thing you seek. This is the source of addictive behavior and unhappiness.

The occult elite controls us with sex and money- the North-South of the mind. The courtship stage is a period when sexual feelings are strong so two people will bond and start a family. Sex/romance was not meant to become a permanent preoccupation and panacea. The cult uses it to distract and degrade us while it creates a police state (using the "War on Terror" as a ruse.)

The same is true of money. The stock market is a giant casino addicting millions. The central banking cult has unlimited funds. To make us feel good, (while it trashes civil rights and wages senseless war) it makes the market go up. To fleece us, it crashes the market. Gold is just a shiny stone. Don't be a dupe.

The diabolical powers have been here for a long time. You have discovered their existence only because they signaled the beginning of their endgame on Sept. 11.

Don't let them stunt or degrade you by obsessing on their iniquity. Restore balance by attuning yourself to higher things. Be an outpost of happiness.

Note to the Right: Concentrate on Something Important

To see the spectacle of countless right-wing pundits upset over Keith Ellison's swearing in being planned using a Qu'ran instead of a Bible is something that nearly crushes my belief that the Conservatives are the people we need to fight this threat. It saddens me when I see Dennis Prager become the opposite extreme of Multi-culturalism and say that the Bible should be the only book of which our public officeholders swear upon. The more I read Mr. Prager's November 28th column, the more I find his justification for this to be more and more vacuous. According to Prager:

He should not be allowed to do so -- not because of any American hostility to the Koran, but because the act undermines American civilization.

Okay... sounds like a stretch of the imagination, but let's give him a chance to explain.

First, it is an act of hubris that perfectly exemplifies multiculturalist activism -- my culture trumps America's culture. What Ellison and his Muslim and leftist supporters are saying is that it is of no consequence what America holds as its holiest book; all that matters is what any individual holds to be his holiest book.

Forgive me, but America should not give a hoot what Keith Ellison's favorite book is. Insofar as a member of Congress taking an oath to serve America and uphold its values is concerned, America is interested in only one book, the Bible.

His first assertion is that this is all the work of the multiculturalists. Sorry Dennis, I am hardly what you would call a "multiculturalist". I do in fact believe that Secular Western Culture is superior to the rest of the world. I also believe that the Koran does not hold any divine influence behind it and that it, like the Bible has warm and fuzzy quotations, as well as parts that encourage intolerace, hate, and bigotry. And I don't believe in cultural relativism. However, if the cultural relativists say that what is important in using as a book or other object for the swearing in should be what the individual being sworn in deems important, then I have no problems with the multiculturalists there.

Mr. Prager also fails to make a decent point in his statement that "America is interested in only one book..." Swearing on something that other people believe in but you do not is ultimately meaningless. Ellison, as a Muslim, believes that the Koran is the divine word of God, or Allah, if you like, not the Bible. If those who see the Bible as the divine, inspired word of God were to swear upon a Koran in a Muslim majority society, it would be just as silly.

To illustrate this, imagine this fictional and a little out-there example of an alternate Earth. In this Earth, the politicians in the United States swear upon the Sacred Rubber Chicken of the Church of Chickenology, the majority religion of the United States. However, a member of another religion has been elected to political office. He decides that instead of swearing to uphold the Constitution on the Sacred Rubber Chicken, he instead will swear upon the Divine Plastic Cheeseburger, as he is a member of the Church of Beefology and that is the sacred object of which his religion is based. The Right, however, furious that this one individual wants to break a tradition, they furiously demand "This tradition has never been broken! For centuries, we have sworn on the Chicken, even some of us who didn't believe in it because that is what America thinks matters." The stupidity of these statement is of the same stupidity of what Mr. Prager is stating. Like the Sacred Rubber Chicken in my ridiculous fantasy universe, the Bible is not believed by all, even if the majority supposedly does. And even so, Ellison, like the fictional politician from the fictional universe, does not believe in the Bible as the most sacred object or word of God or whatever. To him, the Koran is what is most important. Swearing upon that thing is what is important to him and carries more weight.

Of course, Mr. Prager isn't finished, and neither am I:

Of course, Ellison's defenders argue that Ellison is merely being honest; since he believes in the Koran and not in the Bible, he should be allowed, even encouraged, to put his hand on the book he believes in. But for all of American history, Jews elected to public office have taken their oath on the Bible, even though they do not believe in the New Testament, and the many secular elected officials have not believed in the Old Testament either.

This supposed precedent is unimportant and of no consequence. The deference to tradition in performing a serious oath is unimportant. Whether Jews and other practitioners of different religions have sworn with the Bible before is unimportant as well. In fact, it shows a lack of honesty in deference to a Judeo-Christian traditon in a secular and increasingly religiously-diverse country. Isn't it better to ask them to swear to uphold our Constitution on something THEY believe in, or should we continue a supposedly written-in-stone tradition where the person doing the swearing-in is swearing upon something which the majority of the country believes is extremely or the most meaningful, while the elected office-holder deems it to be of lesser or of no importance?

So why are we allowing Keith Ellison to do what no other member of Congress has ever done -- choose his own most revered book for his oath?

The answer is obvious -- Ellison is a Muslim. And whoever decides these matters, not to mention virtually every editorial page in America, is not going to offend a Muslim. In fact, many of these people argue it will be a good thing because Muslims around the world will see what an open society America is and how much Americans honor Muslims and the Koran.

This argument appeals to all those who believe that one of the greatest goals of America is to be loved by the world, and especially by Muslims because then fewer Muslims will hate us (and therefore fewer will bomb us).

But these naive people do not appreciate that America will not change the attitude of a single American-hating Muslim by allowing Ellison to substitute the Koran for the Bible. In fact, the opposite is more likely: Ellison's doing so will embolden Islamic extremists and make new ones, as Islamists, rightly or wrongly, see the first sign of the realization of their greatest goal -- the Islamicization of America.

I only agree to a very small extent. I do believe much of this ado-over-nothing is over the fact that Mr. Ellison is a Muslim and that this is a leftist publicity stunt. But, it goes both ways. There is as much evidence that this is also a concern of the Right for the very same reasons. What better way for the Republican party to get supporters back from the great Election loss of '06 than to create a tempest in a teacup that is the use of a different book for a swearing-in? Ultimately, this is a publicity stunt for both groups. The Left is using this as bait to capture their opponents and distract them. Like an all too eager catfish catching a minnow on a fisherman's hook, they have let the ravenous appetite of the Religious Right blind the Republican Party from uniting the country against the shark that is Jihadist Islam, among other issues that matter (one can make a parallel between the Right in this issue and the plethora of Secularists who are more concerned with getting rid of Christmas trees than Islamic Terrorism). And of course, the Left and the Saudi-sponsored CAIR organization and their ilk are using it to show how intolerant the right and America is to Muslims. For the Right, this is a battle not worth fighting, as it is unwinnable and has nothing to gain.

While I believe that the Politically Correct Leftist crowd has ridiculously bent over backwards to avoid offense of Muslims or Islam itself, I don't think that this is primarily a case of that attitude here. In fact, imagine if Mr. Ellison's plans for his swearing-in are implemented. What is there to lose or gain? There are only three losers I would see in this scenario. The first are, of course, some of the misguided Right-wingers who decided to march alongside Mr. Prager in this issue. The second, are the multi-culturalist left-wingers who constantly hammer the insane idea that America is an intolerant country, afraid of social progress, change, and tolerance, especially to Muslims. To have a Muslim elected and use his holy book for the swearing-in would be a slap in the face to that narrative. And most importantly, we have the the ones we really want to lose, the corrupt holy leaders who are constantly searching for gullible Muslims to die for their 72 virgins. One of their most important places of recruitment are within the borders of the United States, in the Islamic communities. How can the extremists be taken seriously when they claim that the United States is hostile to Muslims and there are people in the communities that know of, or even voted for a Muslim candidate who won and had a swearing-in ceremony. What would even make it harder for the Jihadist leaders is that this Muslim was allowed to swear upon his holy book! This will obviously not "embolden" them when their recruitment numbers begin to dwindle. Chances are, they will not see this as a victory for their sick cause, as their cause demands the destruction of the United States, not integration into and cooperation with it, as Mr. Ellison has done so far. The fear of the "Islamification of America" coming from this is so absurd, it almost exactly matches the hue that the Anti-War Multiculturalist Left wants to paint all of us who are serious about fighting terrorism with one swift stroke. The Right should go back to fighting the real enemies of our civilization, instead of making up new imaginary ones.

Report; Posted on: 2006-12-20 16:55:22

Evangelicals in US and other nations will hold mass events to 'thank the Jewish people,' Jerusalem Knesset Caucus told

Yaakov Lappin

A leading Evangelical US pastor has announced plans to hold a "night to honor Israel" in every major American city as part of an Evangelical political campaign.

Pastor John Hagee, a Christian leader from Texas, was given an award by the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus during a ceremony jointly held with the World Jewish Congress Monday night, to "honor our Christian allies."

Addressing the conference by a satellite-linked screen, Hagee delivered an emphatic speech, declaring: "It's time for us Christians in America, from coast to coast, to speak up for Israel."

He added that his organization aimed to hold "every congressman and senator accountable for their position on Israel."

"It's important for Christians to reach out to the Jewish people. For the first time in the history of America, the spiritual leaders of America are looking up rabbis and saying: 'We want to thank you,'" Hagee declared.

The pastor announced his plans for "a night to honor Israel in every major American city," adding: "Why is this happening?"

AMERICA: VICTIM OF RELIGIOUS IDENTITY THEFT

National Prayer Network

AMERICA: VICTIM OF RELIGIOUS IDENTITY THEFT

By Rev. Ted Pike

Several weeks ago, an ultraorthodox rabbi issued an ugly threat to Washington states Sea-Tac Airport: either display an 8-foot, electrically lit menorah alongside Christmas trees or face a federal lawsuit.

In a recent press release, the Anti-Defamation League of Bnai Brith whitewashes such coercion. Ignoring the rabbi's threat to sue, it claims his motives were innocent and high-minded. The resulting "surge of anti-Semitism," ADL says, was the fault of inaccurate information. ADL says the rabbis organization, Chabad Lubavitch, only wants the menorah displayed equally with the trees. What's wrong with equal opportunity on religious holidays? 1

This raises a timely and important question. Religious Jews constitute less than one percent of the American population. What legal rights do they, and other religious minorities, have to demand that their symbols be given equal public exposure with those of Christianity?

Research has clearly proven that America was founded as a Christian nation and largely remains so today. 2 Approximately 77 percent of Americans consider themselves Christian. Yet ADL denies that America was founded on Christian principles; they have worked aggressively to redefine America as a pluralist society whose separation of church and state forbids public preference of one religion's symbols or observances.

Hypocritically, ADL doesnt insist that Israel (the only nation to whom it is loyal) also be so multi-cultural and enlightened. ADL would be appalled if Christian (Messianic) Jews in Israel were granted the right to display crosses alongside menorahs at Tel-Aviv Airport. Sixty years ago, Arab Christians constituted 20 percent of Israels population. As a result of massive expulsion in 1948, followed by policies of discrimination and outright persecution, the Christian community withered to about 2 percent. (See, "Christians in Israel: An Endangered Species" and "The Simple Explanation for Mid-East Strife") That is roughly equivalent to the Jewish population in America.

It would be unthinkable for such a tiny minority in Israel to demand equal representation in public display of crosses or nativity scenes. Zionism unashamedly considers Israels national identity to be Jewish. Israel is like Spain, Kuwait, or India, dominated by Catholic, Moslem, or Hindu culture respectively. In all religiously oriented nations, the symbols of the dominant ancestral religion are given public and even political preferenceexcept in America. ADL and Jewish media insist that America not exalt its Christian heritage. (See, "Is Dr. Kennedy a 'Christian Supremacist?'")

Why is America so different from Israel? How has a tiny two percent of the American population attained such power that they can demand equal display of their symbols? Theres an easy answer. Even Christians have been trained by Jewish media to believe: "Jews have suffered so bitterly at the hands of Christians for nearly 2000 years, that its our Biblical duty to grant them disproportionate privilege in our society." This privilege includes protection from all criticism. Because of evangelicals apologetic indulgence, Jews have soared to dominate media, business, international banking, and even the agendas of the American administration, House, and Senate. In fact, it is undeniable that high-ranking "neo-con" Jews are primarily responsible for goading America into war in the Mid-East to make the region safe for Israel's further expansion. 3

As a result of such power, Jewish symbols sometimes dont just enjoy equality with Christian symbols in public, but actual preference. In 1989, a majority of the Supreme Court ruled that an 18-foot Lubavitcher menorah displayed at a downtown Pittsburgh county courthouse did not violate church-state separation, while a nativity scene did. 4 The menorah was permitted, while the Christian symbol was removed.

Blind indulgence of Jews has never been Biblical or logical; today, it increasingly threatens both Christianity and our republic. While none can claim Christians now persecute Jews in America, there is a worldwide trend, especially through Jewish "anti-hate" laws, to persecute Christians. In more than 55 nations, ADL/Bnai Brith hate laws militate against Christian values and silence their free expression. Ensconced in positions of impregnable power, evil Jewish thought police possess ominous potential for even greater persecution in the years ahead. (See, "Global Hate Crimes Gestapo Being Created" and "The Real Motive Behind the 'Department of Global Anti-Semitism'")

Judaism: One of Many Minority Religions

Should the Seattle airport abandon America's Christian identity in favor of ADL's "multiculturalism?" Religious Jews are just one of many minority religious sects in America, including Buddhists, Taoists, Scientologists, Native American spiritualists, and Satanists. Members of some of these groups, such as New-Age and Islam, greatly outnumber religious Jews. If Judaism can demand equal visibility with Christianity at Christmas, what keeps these other groups from also claiming "discrimination" if they are excluded? What keeps them from threatening to sue the Port of Seattle next year?

America must stand on a proven fact: despite the ravages of secularism, America still possesses a religious identity. It is Christian. And it is only because of our Christian heritage that Jews and other minorities enjoy the right to freely practice their own religion. Such minorities should be grateful for the Christian heritage to which they owe their freedom, rather than wishing to minimize that legacy.

If public institutions and businesses dont insist on their right to display Christian symbols, they will actually open the floodgates to discrimination lawsuits. 5 In the end, such organizations, out of self-protection, will remove such symbols altogetherdeclaring all public places to be religion-free, secular zones. This is what initially happened at Sea-Tac last week. This is ADLs ultimate objectivea society where the uniting force of a Christian national identity has been eroded and secularism alone is allowed.

In Canada, even Christmas trees are being removed from public places! This week, Judge Marion Cohen (Jewish) ordered the removal of a small artificial tree from a provincial courthouse, saying it might alienate non-Christians; as in America, Christians comprise more than 70 percent of the Canadian population, yet activist Jews are stripping even their most innocuous symbols from public life.

Back in Washington state, the Sea-Tac authorities say theyll consult with the ultraorthodox rabbi and other religious groups about a broader presentation of diverse religious symbols next Christmas. Such tedious and expensive experiments, undertaken to please activist Jews, will inevitably be abandoned in favor of secularism.

How should Sea-Tac authorities and others respond when Gods chosen people again demand that Americas Christian identity be denied to please themon penalty of federal court? Answer: they should respect the overwhelming majority of Americans, who insist that Christmas remain unashamedly Christian.

They should stand and fight.

James Kennedys Coral Ridge Ministries, have produced scores of books documenting statements by Americas founding fathers and Supreme Court justices affirming the fact that America is a Christian nation. 5 No public institution or business should be forced by law to provide display of religious symbols. However, as a goodwill gesture, areas adjacent to major Christmas displays might be allocated for such religious expression. An equitable rule would be that a particular religion should be allowed display in proportion to their numbers in the American population. Thus, religious Jews along with Buddhists or Hindus would be granted about 2 percent of display space each, with Christians allowed 77 percent. On the other hand, such a project opens up the real possibility that homosexual religious groups, Satanists and witches, etc. would also demand space for their symbols, threatening discrimination lawsuits if they were not included. The above proposal, though high-minded, reminds us of the wisdom and relative legal safety of standing by the time-proven standard that Christmas is properly a time to emphasize Christian symbols and values, not every other kind.
