LOS ANGELES â€" Disney starlet Selena Gomez was undergoing tests Friday at a Los Angeles hospital after she fell ill following an appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,†according to TMZ.
Gomez was rushed to a local hospital suffering from nausea and a severe headache.
The 18-year-old is “undergoing routine tests†after she chatted with Leno Thursday night about her upcoming movie “Monte Carlo†and her romance with teen heartthrob Justin Bieber.
“The Wizards of Waverly Place†star and Bieber have recently gone public with their relationship â€" frolicking together on a Hawaii beach and kissing openly, prompting the singer’s adoring female fans to hate on his new squeeze.
Last weekend, Bieber took Gomez to meet his family in his native Canada while Gomez said the 17-year-old got her mom’s stamp of approval.
“He passed the test,†the actress told Leno.
Bieber, an avid tweeter, sent his get-well wishes to his girlfriend with a simple message “#getwellselena†but some “Beliebers†joked Gomez is overacting, “couldnt [she] just take an advil,†one Bieber fan asked.
“Selena went to hospital for a headache? for real, like.. seriously? umm.. okay,†added another.
“The people who are laughing that Selena’s in the hospital obviously have no heart,†a Gomez fan fired back, adding “Beliebers are saying that #GetWellSelena shuldn’t trend. What’s wrong with you?!â€
Another wrote, “If you’re happy that Selena is in the hospital, you’re not a human, you’re a no heart person, a monster!â€
