Ellen Pompeo may be unsure about whether sheâll stick with âGreyâs Anatomyâ after her contract expires next season, but it sounds like her on-screen husband has made up his mind.
In the new issue of the Italian Vanity Fair, Patrick Dempsey confirmed the showâs upcoming eighth season will be his swan song. âItâs gonna be my last,â he told the mag. âI do not know whatâs going to happen to the other characters, but for me itâs done.â Sounds like Meredith is finally going to whine him to death.
Dempsey added that the idea of checking out of Seattle Grace after seven years is âbittersweet because itâs been great and a great part of my life. But I canât see me doing it anymore.â
This probably isnât big news to the showâs creator, Shonda Rhimes, who told TVLine earlier this month she was approaching next season as if it were the last.
âIt might be the last hurrah for a lot of them; you never know,â she said. âI really donât know and I donât presume to know. Everybody has an individual choice to make and I get that. â⦠All the originals are in play.â
Of course, if Dempsey goes, Pompeo may have to. âI feel like Meredith and Derek are meant to be together forever, and weâre going to make sure that in the end they end up together, one would hope â" unless one of them dies or something,â Rhimes said.
Where do we vote to kill them both off?
The best idea since the âCaddyshackâ
sequel
So what if the critics didnât laugh at âThe Hangover Part IIâ? Warner Bros. is laughing all the way to the bank.So itâs no surprise that, after smashing multiple box-office records â" including the three-day total for a live-action comedy and the holiday-weekend take for any R-rated movie â" a third installment reportedly is in the works, according to E! Online. The sequel nearly doubled on the original âHangoverâsâ opening weekend en route to amassing more than $ 205 million worldwide, according to Warner Bros. Even though screenwriters Craig Mazin and Scott Armstrong seemingly ran out of ideas last time, Mazin reportedly already has been approached to get started on a script for a third film.
Rihanna in hot water over music video
The Parents Television Council is blasting Rihanna for hawking a âcold, calculated execution of murderâ in her new music video for âMan Down.âThe council is outraged that Rihanna would suggest that gunning down a rapist in a crowded train station is a proper form of justice. It released a statement saying, âIf Chris Brown shot a woman in his new video and BET premiered it, the world would stop. Rihanna should not get a pass.â
